Hey y’all, Brianne here! Over the last few months I’ve had some exciting things happen in my life and I can’t wait to tell y’all about it! As most of you know I was accepted to go on the World Race back in February and was originally suppose to go to 11 countries in 11 months. Our original launch date was suppose to be October 14th, but due to Big Rona (covid) and border closures around the world there have been changes made. A few months ago we were notified by the amazing staff at Adventures In Missions (AIM) about these changes that were needed to take place. They gave us a few different options to chose from in how we would like to proceed with the World Race. After considering and praying about all options, I came to the conclusion that I would push back my launch date and chose a new route. I will now be launching in early January on a completely different route. The new route falls under what AIM calls the “HUB” model. Instead of 11 countries in 11 months this HUB model gives us only 4 set countries in 11 months. The 4 countries in the new HUB route that I will be going on are Costa Rica, Thailand, India and Eswatini. The HUB route allows us to have a more flexible trip and go/stay where we are needed most. We will start out in each of these countries and possibly travel to other countries in the same region. Lots of the ministry hosts we will be working with have other connections with ministries in nearby countries. If the surrounding countries permit travel and the ministries there are able to host us, we will be able to travel to those locations. If January does come along and we are still unable to start travelling abroad, my squad and I will be launching in America! We would be partnering with ministries around the U.S. until we are able to launch internationally. I’m super excited about this new HUB model and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for my squad.
Another big announcement is that I actually just got back from our week long World Race training camp in Gainesville, GA! Training camp is were I got to meet my awesome squad, squad leaders, mentors and coaches. We got to experience what life might look like on the race and even embraced many different cultures by the meals we ate and clothes we wore. My squad learned, grew, worshipped and had an amazing time together at training camp. Stay tuned for my next blog post where I will talk more about training camp, my squad and what I learned during my time in GA.
thanks for reading,
Brianne (:
