Hey! Hi! Hello! I’m currently in Georgia right now at the Adventures in Missions (AIM) campus. We will be here for a total of 4 days before leaving the country for Costa Rica.

It’s been so good to be here and to see everyone but also a little weird. You see, there are strict covid rules for us to follow in this time here because AIM wants to ensure that we launch on-time and safely. As funny as it may sound, my squad and I are all living (sleeping, eating, worshipping, hanging out, etc.) in a room together. Even though we are all in the room together we are all split up in our individual teams. There is tape on the ground marking where the walk way is and where each teams “rectangle” is. Our rectangle is where we spend most of our time during the day. Even though this has kept me from giving many of my dear friends & squadmates hugs and talking to people I haven’t seen in months, I have come to appreciate it. I’m so glad that AIM is doing what they feel is necessary to make sure we (all 50 of us) stay healthy and Covid free.

Above, you will see a picture of my team in our rectangle.

I’m so lucky to be on such a respectful and honoring squad that is also striving after a mutual goal, to go to Costa Rica as planned on Jan. 12th. Our main goal here is to not get opinionated or worked up about these Covid rules (that will only apply to us for a short while). We are here to get ready to leave the country to share God’s love and Good News with people in Costa Rica.

You see, sometimes we just need to get over ourselves and thinking that our opinions are the only ones that matter. Because they aren’t. We are entitled to our own opinions,  but we can’t shut down or choose not to accept or acknowledge others who have different opinions. What if instead of shutting out other ways of thinking and doing life, we listened and observed? What if we asked God how we should feel and think about certain things instead of just coming up with things on our own or going to worldly point of views and opinions for answers? God is the ONE above all else and He is the one with the only answers we need.

What if we all try just ask Him for guidance in challenging the ways we already think? What if we allow God to refine those things and give us the correct guidance? The outcome of doing this will only lead you to God’s confirmation that things you believe are correct or His convictions in regards to false information and thinking. If you have open hands with this, it will only lead you to growth.

2 Corinthians 5: 16 “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.”
