Wow. I can’t believe it’s already been 4 months on the Race. That’s 4 months I got to do life and ministry with my amazing team, Fresh Fire. Today we had team changes. With team changes comes a bittersweet time of joining new people to do life and ministry with and saying goodbye to our previous teams. This is something that every Racer goes through and it’s a special time of reflection and growth.
I wanted to take the time, before stepping out onto the mission field with my new team, to thank my 1st team, Fresh Fire. This team will always hold a special place in my heart and I will forever be thankful for them. They all demonstrate what it looks like to live life like Jesus. They make people feel seen, known and heard. They all have unique gifts from the Lord and walk in a lot of humility and honor. They are supportive, accepting, loving, caring, thoughtful, really funny and the list goes on. They are easy to love and they all carry so much wisdom, strength and peace wherever they go.
I’ve learned so much from each of these individuals and I’ve loved doing so.
Annie, you taught me how to have grace for others and how to dive into intentionality. You lead others so well. You’re one of the most humble people I’ve met and your heart and love for others is inspiring. You shine so bright, sister!
Rach, you are a true friend to all. You’ve taught me the importance of being a good listener. You make people feel seen and heard. You are trustworthy and honorable person. You lead others in vulnerability really well and always stay true to who God made you to be.
Danny, you are a man of wisdom and truth. You value deep conversation and to know others. You’re extremely intentional and you care for people really well. You celebrate people’s gifts and help them see why they’re so important and how they can further the Kingdom. You’ve taught me the importance of cultivating a space of safety and respect.
JD, you are a bright light. The Lord’s joy overflows from you and you really can brighten up any environment. You value knowing God on a new and deeper level and that is so encouraging to get to witness. The way you treat others and the way you carry yourself is an example of Christ’s love. You’re an amazing encourager and you always build people up. You’ve taught me how to choose into joy. That choosing joy can make a huge difference wherever you’re present.
Tymon, you are full of wisdom and peace. You turn to the Lord and His word before anything else. You help people see their worth and help them know that they are valued. You show others intentionality, honor and respect. You’ve taught me to turn to the Lord before turning to others and to always seek truth from His word.
Thank you so much, Fresh Fire, for being an easy team to choose in to! Thank you for everything you’ve taught me over the last 4 months. Thanks for being an example of Christ’s love. It’s been such a pleasure to get to know y’all and to serve alongside y’all. I am so thankful I get to call y’all forever friends. <3
My flame definitely got bigger because of y’all. Thanks for helping me grow and for encouraging me in my walk with the Lord.
